I am on day 24 incubating serama eggs. I started with 4, 1 was infertile, I murdered 1 (dropped it while trying to weigh it at about 14 days), 1 died before internal pip, and last 1 has looked like this for about 24 hours. It is still chirping but has made zero progress. When I took the dead one out this morning I added lots more moisture because 1, I opened bator and 2, dead chick was very dry! Should I assist this one yet?

I assisted and inner membrane was very dry! Resting and drying now in bator. [IMG]

This is what the shell looked like after hatching.

What was your humidity at during lock down?

Not high enough! I used the Brinsea Mini Advanced and followed their instructions with filling up the wells over the divider but I think it was too dry before lockdown so it didn't raise it enough. Then lockdown was so long that the wells were running dry. Next time I am going to start increasing humidity the day before lockdown and then top it up on lockdown day. On the positive side little Chipper is doing well. The foot that was flipped over has become normal with a bandaide splint and I ran to the feed store to get her a friend yesterday. She is the little yellow one. :)

Sorry for your troubles. I'm glad your little one is doing well.
