If you saw my post with pics earlier, you know that we picked up 3 8-wk old BOs this afternoon. We've named the first two Persaline and Tupalo (honey). We just haven't been able to come up with a name for the 3rd. Because they are yellow birds, that is a central theme in the names.

Anyone got any ideas?? And btw, I nixed Sunny. It was just too easy.

I looked up some words in other languages to help come up with some different sounding names, but still have a "yellow" theme.

    Sol - Sun in Spanish.
    Oro - Gold in Spanish.
    Dimanche - Sun in French.
    Sonntag - Sun in German.

How about Bumblebee, or just Bee?

    Amber
    Sol
    Gilda
Jaune (pronounced Joan) means Yellow in French

Edited to add: Auric was Goldfinger's first name because it's Latin derived, and AU is gold on the table of elements.

Quote:My highschool french is a little rusty but I believe Dimanche actually means Sunday. The french word for sun is soleil... which in MHO is very pretty sounding.

    Goodluck on your name search.
