!UPDATE!

The votes are in and we've decided we've received enough to pick a winner (or two)! We're going to tally them and make a final decision ASAP.

A huge CONGRADULATIONS for all the submissions! I think every coop received at least one vote which is pretty amazing!!

For the first coop contest I chose the winners and it was too much work. For the second coop contest the BYC staff got together and picked the winners and it was a LOT of work. So for the current contest now we're putting it onto you guys!

Question: Would the form be easier to use if instead of a link to the coop you entered the user name of the member who made the coop?

Any other improvements I can make to the form to make it easier to use?

Hi, I have a suggestion for next year....How about BYC choose the finalists and list members can vote on the coop they like best? I took a look at how long this list is and had to decide I won't have time to look at everyone's. If the best coop is at the end of the list, it probably won't win because of fatigue on the part of the voter. (Can you tell I was a political science major in college???)

Dang, Nifty!
I didn't read the instructions well. I gave one coop in each category a 10. Not that I knew which category they were supposed to be in...

I like the idea of the narrowing it down to 10 finalist, and then the members vote from that.

Maybe next time we'll have some volunteers to pick out the best ones, but it really is a lot of work for just one or two people to go through all of them.

Also, another reason to do it this way is to really get a good feeling for what coops the community likes best. If the people choosing the top 10 have a bias to large coops, then maybe none of the small ones make it into the top ten... stuff like that gets resolved by having as many people in the community as possible contribute!

If you guys are overwhelmed by the number of coops and aren't up to rating all of them, please at least try to rate your top 5 favorites.
