10 weeks ago I had my first ever hatch of 6 little chicks[IMG] as I'm new to this I was hoping if someone could tell me what breeds and gender 3 of my chicks are? (I couldn't get very good photos of the other three but will try as I really would like to know the breed and gender of each of them) Help anyone?

All of them are pullets. The reddish bird looks like a Red Sex-Link, and the black one is likely a Black Australorp, or a Black Orpington. Your blue bird I'm not sure on. Possible a Blue Orpington.

I agree. You should get loads of eggs from those girls; especially from that Red Sex Link pullet.)

I'm have to respectfully disagree. But #1 is not a Buff Orpington with those white feathers in the tail and that white underfluff and #3 does not have the white earlobes of an Blue Andalusian.

My guess on number 1 would be a red star and number 3 blue orpington.

and unless number 2 has a reddish patch on the front of her neck I'd guess she was an australorp
