My chick pipped it's egg about 13 hours ago, how long will it take to hatch, and at what point if it doesnt hatch within a time frame should I help it out?! Thanks [IMG]

i have heard that it can take up to 24 hours after pipping for it to zip. It's a lot of work getting out of that egg so the chick has to take time to rest. If your temp and humidity is good, i would not worry at this point.

Quote:She's here!!! Maybe 10 mins after I posted I went to check on her and I noticed she was zipping so I sat there and watched, it took maybe 20 mins and she was out! She is very lively and all over the place!!! She looks perfect though! [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
