The store where I got our chicks a year ago tells me they are Bovan Browns, and that the males are white and the females are gold/brown. I have finally figured out how to post a picture - so here it is ... one is of my adult rooster (behind him one of our hens) and the others are of their 5-week old offspring. Which of these babies are roos and which are hens? Is it true that a white Bovan is always a male, and the golden brown ones are always female? I just think the looks of their combs and whatnot seem to contradict this. Am I alone on that?
