    It's insides are coming out.

    How old is it?
What have you been feeding it?
    Has it had trouble pooping?

Medicated chick feed, a little over a week and pooping eating a drinking just fine. I’m sure you can tell it’s above her vent. What could this be?

No I can't tell too good.

It could be that someone else has been pecking her then.

Can you get a few more pics?

Did you hatch this chick or buy it?

Bought her, should she’s be separated and maybe brought to the vet? The sore is above the vent where her tail feathers will be coming out

I would guess she has been pecked by other chicks. How many chicks do you have and what is your brooder set up like?

You should separate her from the others by some kind of wire/mesh so that they can still see each other, for a day or two. Some kind of topical antiseptic or antibacterial cream will probably help.

I’ve been told it’s an infected preen gland. Has anyone treated before?
