Help! What sex is my barred rock?

My chicks are 17 days old and Im starting to worry that my little barred rock, Ethel, is a male. Any ideas?

Mine is 3 weeks old and was fearing roo because of the tail and large, pink comb and the pink under the beak.
Ive been told hen because the color is darker and no bold white bars.

Im still nervous though...

That's the skin on the face a head 'blushing.' It's not the comb turning pink. She is way too dark to be a boy.
