Hi I have 2 silkie chickens, both are 13 weeks right now, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me what their sexes could be. Both of them have no signs of combs or waddles, but the gray one will sometimes push our other chickens who are 14 weeks and tell them what to do. Our black one, I’m pretty sure is a pullet, but the gray one is the one I keep going back to. The gray one since we got them has been significantly larger than the black one. The gray one will stand up straight and tall and look around (although it can’t see much with the big fluff on its head) at the woods and at the sky. The only thing that makes me think that he could be a rooster is his behavior, and posture.
Thanks,
Stan

Thanks for your reply, I didn’t even know you had/could trim their beaks. Could you tell me how to trim her beak, and what to use?
We use nail clippers and a nail file. Carefully trim the top beak until it meets up with the lower beak. Just do a little bit at time. It does not hurt them, it is like trimming your nails. But you will need someone to hold it as they do not like it! 😊
Agree both look to be pullets at this age.
