Help with a hatching egg and no incubator

    I dont know how long til this hatches or if its even still alive. I hear no chirping but the egg keeps cracking. Its a rhode island red. I have no incubator all ive been having it on is a heat pad. Heres the pics.

    Glad you could join us here! I'm afraid your pic is not showing up :( Could you repost it please?
    Humidity is going to be the key factor without having an incubator. Can you get the egg in a hot steamy bathroom? This can help with keeping the egg moist during hatch.

    Welcome to BYC [​IMG] Can you place a large bowl over the egg, on the heat pad, with a small bowl or something with some hot water in it alongside the egg to up the humidity in there? It's a bit of a primitive arrangement, but it will do for now. Good luck and keep us posted!
