I recently rescued these handsome boys. I have no idea how old they are. Anybody want to chime in and help me out? I just want to know around what age they could be. Thanks!![IMG]

I don't know how old they could be....but they are beautiful. Where did you rescue them from? Do you have hens?

From someone who wasn't taking care of them at all. I have really worked on getting them healthy for a couple of months now and they are absolutely beautiful now. I'm getting hens this weekend :)

It really isn't possible to tell the age of a mature turkey just by looking at them. I can't see their spurs which can be somewhat of a help since the spurs continue to grow with age. They appear to be mature toms. I would guess that both are at least 2 years old and quite possibly much older.

The bourbon red spurs haven't broken through yet. The other one does have spurs, they are about an inch and a half. Thanks for the input :)

It is possible that the Bourbon Red is a jake and will be one year old this year.

    Good luck.

If the easterns spues are about 1 1/2. I'd say at least 4 year old.

If the bourbons haven't broke thru yet less than a year old.

Congratulations on rescuing them. They are good looking birds

:welcome ! (Again, :lau just saw you at our local thread,) i love your boys, theyre very handsome!! I agree with r2elk and feedman77 that red is likely under a year and the other is likely 2-4.
