Hi,
Last night when I checked on the chicks all of them were up and running but when I went to check on them this morning the runt of the group was dead. Does anyone know why this might of happened?

There are a lot of reasons a new chick could die. Sometimes they have a genetic flaw that you just never know about. Sometimes they get an injury that you don't see.

I think what I'm trying to say is, you may never know why it didn'tmake it, but you should know this:

IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT. :hugs

Alright. What breed were they? We're they shipped as eggs or chicks or from your own flock? Was there anything about the egg that was unusual (size or shape)? Did it have to be assisted hatching?
They are salmon faverolle chicks and I had got the eggs at a local fair in my area. I didn't have to assist the chick with hatching and the egg had no had no unusual features.
