    I'm new to the chicken world and I'm seeing a lot of acronyms that I'm clueless about. Is there a "Master List of Chicken Acronyms" that I could get a copy of so I can interpret a lot of the posts on BYC? [IMG]

    The acronyms you see here only exist here. People add them to posts for reasons beyond my ken. They don't exist elsewhere in the poultry world. If you go to an APA sanctioned show & start asking about BOs, BAs or SFs people will have no idea what you're talking about.

    Look in the FAQ, top of the Index page. Lots of neat stuff there! [IMG]

    Halfway down the page ALL the abbreviations are listed.

    SF = salmon Faverolles
    WCBP - white crested black Polish
    OEGB - old english game bantam

    BR = barred rock
    BBS = black/blue/splash

    I'll think of more later...
