It has been a while since I have done this. Using a brinsea mini Eco
Have 7 new eggs
Was going to set them tonight,
Would I start counting 24 hours from now as day 1?

I've never hatched chicks - so you'll do best by going to "Raising backyard chickens," forum and clicking on the side tab(right) 'incubating and hatching eggs."

Welcome to BYC!

Day 1 starts 24 hours after setting. So if you set today at noon, tomorrow at noon is considered 1 day. The next day at noon is 2 days and so on.

If you need any help with your incubating, we have a nice article in our learning center on incubation...

https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/hatching-eggs-101

Of you run into any issues along the way, you can post questions in our Incubating Eggs Forums for help...

Good luck with the hatch and keep us posted!

Thanks
So we have had a few issues with humidity, tends to be a bit higher 51%-53% more often. A drop once down to 35%
But mostly right at 50% or a little above

Just double checking my calculations for lockdown. We set the eggs thurdsday evening April 24th around 10 pm
would lockdown be this Monday evening or Tuesday evening?

Should I expect to see hatching friday the 16th?

Thanks so much
