Really hoping that we have one pullet from the three eggs given to a broody rescue hen, and that this be she.
Hatched Aug 21st so 14 1/2 weeks old.
Also interested in what kind of a mix she/he may be.
The comb seems to say pullet (in my limited knowledge) but the drooping tail has me worried...
Thanks in advance!

I'd say pullet. At 14 1/2 weeks you'd see a lot more comb and wattle. I also don't see any saddle feathers developing and no sickle tail feathers.

As to mix...yep...she's a mix alright isn't she. Wow...she's got the fluff like an Orpington and she looks like she has some Blue in her background too (maybe a Blue Orpington??? she's got the color tone variation like that)...but there's other stuff too.

I'll take a wild guess and say New Hampshire and Blue Orpington....or not.

Pretty girl. Enjoy her.

She's a she, that's for sure. As far as what mix...........

The dark legs and overall coloring make me think she could have some Easter egger. I've had EE hens with that same kinda blue wheaton color, usually with more blue. I'm not sure if she's always that fluffy, or she's just cold. Fluff could indicate some Orpington blood. Straight comb and dark lobes mean probably brown eggs.
