    Hi all-
This is my first post on this forum. I am a vet without much experience in poultry, but since there are no vets who will treat chickens around here, I have been asked to look at a hen with a sore foot. The family seems to think it started with an injury a couple of weeks ago (a goat stepping on the toe) but they are not sure. The hen is eating, drinking, not lame at all, still laying eggs, and acting totally normal. As you can see, this toe looks pretty bad.

They texted me these pictures, and I wanted to ask for some feedback before I head over there tomorrow. To me it looks pretty badly infected and needs to be treated as such, but I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. I have treated bumble foot and some other minor foot issues in chickens before, but this looks different. What do you think? [IMG]
