HELP! YOLK SAC MAYBE? RED LIGHT BLOODY NAVEL?!

When it hatched prematurely it didn't fully have the time to absorb the egg yolk.
on day 20 of hatching or a day before hatch day is when the yolk sack gets absorbed.
You can feed it room temperature egg yolk so it gets the nutrients its suppose to keep is warm
Ok I’ll definitely do that! thank you for the advice!

Here’s some pictures of the sac and the chick from when it hatched I did remove the chick to a much softer incubator floor so it could still dry off and then the metal bottom didn’t irritate its navel

No worries, the gelatin looking stuff looks like egg waste to me. Most of the time it stays in the shell but occasionally it comes out stuck to the chick and will fall off or can be knocked off easily. It does look like the chick has a small herniation on the umbilical area. This may finish closing properly as the chick dries since it's quite small.

Thats good 🥳 we will see then hopefully it does٫ if it doesn't will i be able to help it by putting some antibiotics for poultry animals on it to help it heal?

I use chlorhexidine to dab on the navel but I realize not everyone has that readily available. You can also use antibiotic ointment without pain relief. It may close which would be more desirable but if it doesn't finish absorbing and closing you will eventually find that it heals like a small black button and this is to be expected. Just keep the brooder nice and clean to reduce chances of bacteria entering through the improperly closed navel.

So this early morning i heard some screaming so i got up and there was 3 more chicks that hatched and they ended up having it to??? i have eggs from 2 different people and i had 3 hatch from 1 person and 1 hatch from another one and that one came out fine. I have no idea what is going on٫ Maybe something that happened with breeding? There's only 4 left to hatch (lets call those eggs that are hatching with the buttons S and the other one C) from S and a decent amount to hatch from C still.

The last few times the goo stayed in the egg and another chick was close to hatching so i stayed up to see how it was getting out٫ once the chick was out their was a cord connected to the belly and it pretty much thrashed around till it ripped off. Im so confused😞

Too high of humidity causes that. It can also be from too high of temp and chicks hatching early. In general my last to hatch from a batch typically still have yolk sac attached. This is due to the spike in humidity as the bulk of the hatchlings emerge. So the ones that hatch a day late are still attached to the unabsorbed yolk sack.

If my birds are hatching during the day and have time I'll take them out with shells as they hatch to keep humidity from spiking up to 80% and beyond. That solves my problem for late bloomers.
