First off, you can find a ton of useful information right on this website.

Secondly, it's not that hard to raise a chick. Food, water and shelter are the three essential things. So here are my questions
    1. where are you keeping her?
    2. what are you feeding her?
    3. are you making sure her water is kept clean and available always?
    4. how is she behaving? Is she active and walking around, checking out things, sleeping at times, but mostly active?

So if you answer these questions we can help you further from there.

It's easy. Use your motherly instinct. You have to feed it chick feed and keep water available at all times. If it's an only chick, it may need some company so it doesn't cry too much. Give it a stuffed animal and a small mirror so it thinks it has a chick friend. You will become it's best friend and it will consider you a member of it's little flock. You need to give it a heat source. A regular 100w light bulb works fine. If you don't have a heat lamp, I have used a small regular goose neck lamp with the bendy head to aim it down into the chicks house/box. Do you have any specific questions about the chick's care?[IMG]

What happened to the other chicks? Is your chick sick? If not then a six week old chick will be fine outside in most temperatures.

OK you have 1 6 week old chick.

She is fully feathered, right? She needs an animal safe coop or large dog house so other animals can not get her. She needs no heat now anymore. She needs 1 dish of medicated chick starter/or crumbles. 1 water dish with drops with vitamins in it. A fluffy stuffed animal she can be friends with and snuggle with. I would put shavings down.

So what do you have on my list so far? You need to get the rest over the next few day or week. Can you do it? Are you getting her another friend maybe?

We will help you for sure here on the BYC so [IMG]

thank you to all who answered to my questions there are so many to answer!
I am keeping her in a 2x2 rabbit hutch,
I am feeding her chick crumbles(inside) and chick scratch(outside)
Yes, her water is clean and I check it 2 times day night and morning,
I have never had a chicken so I don't know how they behave, does pecking count? she is always calling for other chickens, she runs and flies but sleeps outside,
    she is a golden sex-link
the other chicks i do not know there where 8 eggs 4 where not fertilized other 3 died 1 because of a infected leg the other 3 I do not know,
    No she is not sick,
    Yes she is fully feathered,
    Why medicated crumbles?
How do I get vitamins?and where?

Sounds to me you're doing everything right. You could try sticking a stuffed animal with her in her cage, that should diminish her crying.

    Just relax and enjoy!
