[IMG][/IMG]I am trying to hatch chicks for the first time in my incubator. I bought an ovascope but still not sure if my eggs are fertile. Here are the pics. They are around 5-6 days old.[IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG][/IMG]

It's difficult to see details in pictures. The top one, I'm not sure about but the bottom one definitely looks infertile. On day 5-6 you should be seeing spider looking veins extending from a bean-sized spot, as described above. Wait until day 14 or so and candle again, if they look the same - trash them and start over. Go to the link I posted below and compare your eggs to the pictures.

Oh, and welcome to BYC. [IMG]

    The pictures show non-fertile/non-developing eggs.

You say the eggs are 5-6 days old, not 5-6 days through incubation. Could you clarify that? If it is 5-6 days incubated, I'd agree with above.
