help!!

    My family decided to buy 4H chickens we got rhode island reds and astralops they just started laying eggs i found three one day and three the next my question is how do you know which ones are laying? Just wondering if both breeds are or just a specific one? The eggs i have are all lightish tan

    either take each bird out and into a small pen by themselves for a few days to see if they lay or not, or you can do food coloring in the vent trick. I have never done the food coloring so cant tell you anything else on that.

    But both breeds will lay a light tan egg
