Helping chicks hatch

I have one chick hatching right now and it has a tiny hole pecked out of the shell. We can hear it peep through the shell, but it hasn't made any progress in over 6 hours.

Can I help it along? and if so how much can I do?

Don't do a thing! As long as your humidity is up at 65% - 75%, the best thing you can do is enjoy the show from a distance.
