Hen accidentally ingested ibuprofen

    She snagged one of my Advil pills when I wasn't paying attention. Does anyone know what affect this might have? Google came up with nothing helpful and I haven't been able to find a vet yet who knows anything about chickens.

    Treat symptomatically. That's about all you can do since there aren't too many studies on it (obviously).

    Make sure she's drinking, eating, etc..

    An OTC Ib probably won't do much of anything, Motrin or high octane Ib will probably cause digestive tract problems. Bloody poop would be an indicator.
