i have a bantam buff brahma that has been broody for quite a while. i picked up to chicks the other day and had the idea of putting them under her for her to raise. but here is my question i put them under her she kind of rejected them at first by pecking them out from under her but then she finally accepted them and sat on them all night i checked periodically but the next morning while not in the nest she started pecking them not very hard but kind of nipping but the chicks would squeal. is this normal? is there anything i should do? or should i separate them, and raise on my own?

I would give her eggs than wait till that night to give her the babies. So that she thinks they hatched.
How old are the chicks? They might be too old to bond
