Hen and oil

Ok so we have a hen we found that was broody with horrible scaley leg not even thinking i put oil on her legs my question is will the eggs die we dont really want chicks but im curiouse i dont enjoy being a chick murderer

It's possible that the oil may cause the embryos to die if it soaked though the shell. If you candle the eggs in a couple of days you will know for sure.
