Hen ate a hair tie

Hi all. I just witnessed one of my hens eating a hair rubber band. She found it on the ground and ran away with it before I could catch her. She ate it right up. I caught her and opened up her mouth, but it was too far gone already.
Any ideas if that will kill her?
I know there is probably nothing else I can do now. But, just wondering if anyone knows how bad that will be.
