Hi all I’m new to this forum but seen some good advice posted about fox attacks, thought most did not apply specifically
My dad has some backyard chickens that we just keep as pets, so we are very close to them and yesterday daytime (4pm) a fox came and attacked them. There is one dead and two with injuries, one has quite a wound on her back but she seems up to spirits with eating and drinking and standing on her own. However, the other one seems to be in a bad way, she has a wound on her upper back and underneath and seems to only be laying down most of the time or when she stands it’s with her neck drooping and beak supporting her, she is drinking slowly when she’s supported by us but barely touching food
We have separated both of them from the rest of the coop but we just don’t know what to do and if there is any chance of the lethargic one surviving- applied purple spray to help infection but don’t really know what else to do
