It's been about a month now since our puppy got a hold of a hen. Her butt feathers are growing back, but I'm unsure about her leg. She acts fine and runs from us when we come to her pen. She eats and drinks like normal. Only thing different is her comb, which is pale red. Understandable, since she was injured. What are your thoughts on the leg? It looks like dried skin hanging around the wound.

To me it looks just like dead skin if it is you should be safe to trim it off but the actual cut looks good

Yes, those pieces circled look like the dead skin to me. How would you go about trimming it off?

I personally would leave a good half an inch on but try some sharp scissors clean them before and after make sure the skin is dead for sure though
