Hen Eye injury

I would take her aside and let her eat her fill in a special area. Dog crates (wire) with food and water are good. Scrambled egg is good for a treat. If she is getting a balanced chicken layer or all flock feed, she should not need extra vitamins or be deficient. Have you seen any bubbles or foam in her eye when using the saline or Terramycin? If her eyelid is swollen, Tylan 50 given orally, or tylosin powder in the water might be helpful.

Thank you for your suggestions. No bubbles or foam. Eye looks normal when adding saline and Terramycin except for having a full pupil that won’t construct all the time. She keeps it closed if sunny and/or just because. I’m not sure if the eyelid is swollen or just closed. Since I never see the other one closed except for a split second I have nothing to compare it to. It’s so hard because she is the sweetest too. But definitely putting the saline and ointment on her eye seems to be getting easier every day.
