Two of our hens just started laying and now have stopped. I know this is the season where egg production slows down, but we are concerned for our first layer, because we think we feel an egg up there. Its probably been a week sense she has laid last and we noticed what seems to be an egg, 3 days ago. Is there a way we can like coax it out or is it ok for it to be up there still? Any advice would be great.

Is she waddling around? If she has in egg inside of her she most likely egg bound. What to do is put her in some warm water and massage around lower area close to the vent and where you feel the egg.Hope this help and someone more experienced can help :$
