Hen making sound like cockerel?

out of my three hens in the morning (while they are still in their coop ) one seems to be making a noise in the morning like a cockerel. They are all definitely hens as I get three eggs a day ???

Your Head honcho will usually take on @ least some of a roosters characteristics in the absence of a rooster. This may include a form of crowing. I had a BA hen who used to crow. Nothing like a full throated rooster crow but a crow non the less. It happens sometimes.

I recently had an older hen begin to crow. There's a rooster in the flock so it's not a case of a hen filling the role. Mine went broody and has been crowing. It's an interesting behavior to observe.
