Hen missing parts of her feathers

I have a 9 month old barred rock hen who is missing the soft parts of many of her feathers. She has the beginning parts just not the ends. They are missing mostly along the back of her neck, and her belly. The area around her vent also looks like theres bare skin. She use to look fatter and fuller than my other hens, but now she looks smaller than my smallest hen (an easter egger). She is being fairly skiddish compared to how she was before, and the feather loss happened within the last 48 hours.

She appears to be molting, from what I can see in your picture. Those look like pin feathers on her neck, they are new feathers that are forming and the outer sheath will flake off when the feather is fully formed and ready to open. Often the tips will open first.

Awe. I agree with the molting. I was really surprised how skinny some of my chickens look right now during molt. It's like they lost all of their underneath feathers that gave them bulk and fluff. Sometimes they lose feathers pretty quickly, but she looks pretty healthy, so don't worry too much!
