Hen or cockersl

    Thinking this is a boy but clarification would be fab. He/she is roughly 16wks but in with another boy do not sure if it is a he if he's just hiding his manlyness. The thin feathers best his tail are telling me he is probably a he

    That is a cockerel. You can tell by the long pointed saddle feathers. Sorry.

    That's ok, I have him and 2 others going to market so they can now go as a trio and not 3 hens. I was pretty sure but had a different breed cockeral I was sure was a hen and then he crowed. I blame my rubbish eyesight [​IMG]

    My first set of chickens I had 1 silver laced Wyandotte cockerel. He didn't start crowing until he was 4+ months old.
