Hen or Roo? Barred Rock

I am trying to figure out if this is a boy or girl. I can't have a rooster! Approximate age is 5-6 weeks. Thanks!

Is this a hatchery bird? It's barring doesn't look right for Barred Rock. Males generally have yellow legs - females have a black wash over their legs. BUT, the legs on your chick are really thick - another boy feature. You'll do best if you post your photos at "what breed or gender is this."

It is a chick from a local farm. They said it was a Barred Rock but I guess it could be a mix? Thanks for your input!
