Hen or Roo? Blue Laced Red Wyandottes

These two were both sold to us as Blue Laced Red Wyandottes. The darker of the two showed early roo behavior and Red comb. We thought the lighter one was a hen, as we saw none of that. But just recently, I'm noticing saddle roo'ish saddle feathers on the lighter one, and it dawned on me that it sure looks like a single comb on the darker one. So now we aren't sure we even have what we thought - breed or sex!

Both cockerels, lighter is a splash laced red rather than blue laced red!

I fight myself over light blue/splash sometimes in these laced varieties.

I agree. I was debating but since this guy has some splashing on his tail, I feel pretty good about calling him splash
