Hello! I purchased a bunch of chicks from a breeder when they were very young. I've discovered one too but this one has me stumped. She (hopefully) looks like an RIR and something else. The grey gal, I have no idea. Any info about these two would be greatly appreciated! This is the last time I get mixes but you can't beat the price. They are a little over 3 month old.

sorry, but I think they're both cockerels.

the first bird, I can't see the comb well enough to see what it may be mixed with. The second birds looks to have a rose comb. The most common rose comb breed is Wyandotte, but I'm not seeing any other Wyandotte characteristics. I'm thinking you have mixes of mixes, not simply breed A x breed B. Regardless, I'm not seeing eggs in your future from those birds.

There are rose combed RIR's, but I don't think that's what you are dealing with.

I agree with Donrae, mixed of mixed and both roo's at 3 months.

The first bird isn't a Rose Comb Rhode Island Red (R.I. Red).
Its color is Red Columbian, and it looks to be a mixed breed.
