Hen or Roo? I have a 5 week old golden comment and I think it may be a rooster but I'm not sure. can

    It shouldn't be since Golden Comets are a sex-linked breed--the pullet chicks are gold/red and the cockerel chicks white. I have had Golden Comets that grow faster and have coarser combs than some other pullets.

    Barkinghills-so your saying this is a Rooster correct? I have two other Golden Comets and they have more white on the wings then this little one.

    Golden comets are sex linked.

    Sex linked means the sex is linked to the color.

    Red/gold means female. White/silver means male. Look at the color on the breast, that's the area to go by.

    both the birds in the pics are female, if they are indeed sex links.
