Hen or roo? Splash maran mix

    I know it's early, but just curious as to what you all are thinking is this splash maran mix a hen or roo?[​IMG]

    she/he sure is cute! a bit young but can you get a closer picture of its face (comb) ? that might be helpful. I just love splash!♡♡♡ I've always wanted one!!

    my guess would be pullet but she's still very young very beautiful bird!

    Since she is 6 weeks old she is probably a pullet. Cockerels (by the time they are that old) Should have a redder comb and wattles. And also, her feathers aren't pointed like a cockerels.

    She is precious! My daughter hand picked her so I'm hoping hen, otherwise she will have to move to my sisters farm and my daughter would be devastated.

    looks like she will be a keeper :) a males comb usually would not be so pink and pale. a males would be darker and you would see tiny wattles by this age in a male. See what others say but id say femaale. I sure hope I'm right! I've always been so partial to splash but I've never been able to get one. Females sell out so fast. I missed them again this year too. maybe I will be lucky next spring!! :)
