When I got this one, it was about 3 months old already (now 5 months) and I was assured that it was a hen. However, I dont believe it is. I think its a rooster. It has spurs (I think), its HUGE, and its doing these random feeble attempts at crowing... anywho, attached are pics. What do you think?

Its supposedly a whiterock/americauna mix.

Yes, that is 100% a rooster, and it is a Barred Plymouth Rock. It has a large red comb, light coloring (females would be darker), pointy tail feathers, and a roosterish stance.

It looks like a pure bred barred rock rooster. Whoever sold it to you should have known this, roosters are pretty obvious. Contact the seller and have them make it right.

im new to this forum ...but he has sickle feathers...roo

Guess it does no good to ask when I can't get pics to post...so ill ask...I have an USA brown..16 WEEKS...she doesn't have saddle feathers or pointed hackle feathers...however she has two tail feathers that make me suspect sickle?! Since she is a hybrid could this just be a flaw or might my she be a he? Hard to tell cause I can't seem to load pics...any help would be hot...and by what age should I know for sure?

I don't think you can post pictures until you have 10 posts. Right now, you only have six.

If you got your bird from a hatchery as an ISA, and the bird is red and white, it's pretty much female. Now, if you got if from Backyard Bob, all bets are off and we need pics.

Lol...they came from the feed store...bought as sexed pullets....I think she's a Sally and not a Sam...I try several times a day to see if anyone crows...she's kinda orange and cream...not bright...comb is still pinkish
