Just brought our first chickens home tonight and we are unsure on 1 in particular. Although a friend thinks our Roo is a hen. :/
Any ideas here? Both were hatched June 29th.

Dallas appears to be a roo. The crest is getting spikey.

Edit: Looking closer, I believe I see pointed feathers on the back, that's a sign of a young Polish roo as well.

Dallas in particular. We call him/her our he/she right now. Hoping for a hen.
Donatello is supposed to be a roo, but a friend of mine said he looks more like a hen. He is quite a bit bigger than our 2 year old Barred Rock hen though.

I don't see any indication of the Barred Rock being a rooster whatsoever. No rooster hackles, no spurs, etc. Why were you told he was a rooster?
