Hi All! We just adopted our first-ever batch of chicks. I am trying to determine sex before my kiddos get too attached! They are 3-4 weeks old. Any ideas? Hope the pics are okay...

At this point, Effie looks like a pullet to me. But she is still pretty young and the picture is somewhat blurry. I would post Effie's pic again in 2-3 weeks, preferably showing a frontal close up of the comb.

x2 but when you take the picture of the comb, make sure it's in natural light without a flash.

However, the comb does look a little wide for a pullet, and the black coloring developing on the breast could be concerning. You'll have a better idea in a couple more weeks.
