Just one barred rock. I know, everyone told me to get at least 3 or 4 because this could happen but I didn’t know how raising chicks would be.

Ooh. Yeah...people around here know what they are saying.
Not your fault. It’s the fault of those sexing the birds. Well, actually not theirs either, it is sooo hard to sex baby chicks.
So it’s no ones fault.
I say keep him until you can find her a couple of same age friends. When you introduce them, have the original two together until the bullying (from the noobs or to) which might or might not happen, stops.
Also, find some as soon as possible, you have to quarantine them for at least a weeks or two.
