Rooster, he has all the male specific feathers. Hackles, saddles, and sickles are all present and of the male variety.

He/she is an Easter egger if that matters at all.... Still boy?

Yep still a boy. Only boys get those long, thin, shiny feathers.

Individual would be good, can't tell from the picture if they Barred Rocks or Dominiques.

It would be fine to eat. A crockpot does wonders with rice and gravy !
