One of my Easter Egger hens has stopped laying. She had been going strong for about three months, and then just yesterday I realized I haven't gotten any eggs from her in a week and a half. I would know, because she is the only one that lays the pretty blue eggs. I live in Virginia, and so it is not that cold yet. What could be the problem? I thought Easter Eggers weren't supposed to go broody! please help

Easter Eggers will definitely go broody, even hatchery ones. This time of year, even if it is not cold yet, the shortening daylight hours will also make some of them go into molt and/or slow down or stop laying.

    Will she ever lay again?

If she is just molting / broody she should lay again, it may take a couple of months, or even until spring.
