    Thank you. People need to remember treats should not make up more than 10% of their diet, or they will skimp on eating their nutritionally sound chick feed.

    Ok 10% I need to remember that next I bring out the mealworms , crack corn and sunflower seeds my hens are way to spoiled with every thing I give them

    Yes, they sure do love the goodies! But keep them down to a dull roar. Egg layers need tons of nutrients to stay healthy and will dray out of their bodies for egg laying if they aren't getting enough in their diet. So just a bit here and a bit there on the goodies is enough.
