Hen vs. rooster??

    can you tell, in general, the sex of a chick just by watching it? I already have two roosters, so I don't think more would be a good idea, anyone know?

    Can someone tell me if this 4 month New Hampshire red is a rooster?!?! I swear "she" was cockadoodledo-Ing this morning.

    Rhode Island Red cockerel, New Hampshire Reds are much lighter.

    he holds himself much to upright to be a hen, also roos strut so see if he does and if hes in with any hens/pullets when you pick one up does get worked up?
