Hi guys,
This is my first post. I am just getting back into chickens after a 20 year hiatus.
I am having a problem that I don’t every remember coming across (that does not mean I never had it, just my brain won’t remember that far back)
Hoping someone can help my little hen out.

Bantam cochin hen, 4-5 months

She has a runny, poopy bottom. The one time I saw the poop it was dark green.
She is all humped up and pretty much off her feed but will nibble a little.
When she humps up she makes little noises almost like a clucking chirp. She has been this way for 3 days.
She will act Ok for a while than act sick again. I treated for coccidia just in case. She was wormed with safeguard about 2 weeks ago.
Her main food consists of Layena and a hand full of scratch. Can she be egg bound at this age?
Any help would be truly appreciated!!

I saw your post was not answered and wondered how your hen is doing? I hope she is better by now! We also have had similar problems, and are working towards some hopeful solutions.

If you have found some solutions, do let us other chicken lovers know!

I think we have a chicken like yours, both with a similar issue along with we have one bantam of the same kind.

Good luck!
