Hen with prolapse

Hello Everyone - I have a red sex link with prolapse. There isn't too much hanging out but what is hanging out is scabbed over. I tried pushing everything back in, but it just came back out. (never had my thumb there before) I have been keeping her inside in the dark, feeding her oatmeal, corn and a few greens. Twice a day I clean her up with water and white vinegar and then apply honey. She is eating, her poop looks normal and she's feisty! I am planning on putting her back outside in a isolation pen in a few days. Will it make things worse if she lays? What else can I do?

Keep her in a dark place so she doesn't lay an egg. If you search this site you will find some very helpful threads, some were on here late fall, early winter maybe? Hope that helps and good luck!
