I have a Jersey Giant hen with a very sore breast and back, especially her breast bone area. . I don't want to use Blue Kote as I've read several negative posts about it. There is a stuff you can use for horse wounds, I can't remember what it's called, but it's a white paste that soothes and protects. Would it be ok to use that on her? I''m trying to order her a saddle that will also cover her breast, but it's taking a while to get one made. I don't want to keep her penned up until her feathers grow back, as that takes weeks, but if I can't find something soon that's what I'm going to have to do. Or is there anything else that I can use? Wound spray works, but not for long.

I think it would help to know what exactly is the issue. Was she picked at? Injured? Wounded? Bruised?

No, she's sore from the rooster (s). When they mount her the shove her into the ground, thus her sore back and breast bone. Most hen saddles just cover the back.
