I've noticed my Millie fleur is staying up on a high perch the last few days. She comes down to eat and goes back up. I caught her the other day and she seemed fine. Today I picked her up off of the low perch before she hopped up and I saw the wound on her leg. She didn't want me touching it. So I checked her crop to see if she had eaten and I felt something hard. When I looked at it is saw a huge scab with raised edges. Does anyone know what this is or how to help? Please nice comments only.

As far as I know scaly leg mites are not visible to the human eye, but it does look like they are there. Does the crop itself appear to be hurt? if not I would let it heal on its own and make sure she is eating and drinking. If the scab on the neck is not healing up after a week I would become worried, but nothing looks too out of place here.

Okay! I will spray down the coop and run and check everyone's feet. Her crop seems to be ok and she is eating and drinking. She is just distancing herself from the rest of the flock. Her rooster past away two weeks ago and she has been really bummed.
