I just got a phone call from my DD, Henny Penny has arrived! She's fine and clucking like the dickens. I'm at work and very frustrated that I'm not home, but she's in good hands with DD, I'll be home around 1 p.m.

Bobby - what can I say? [IMG]

Purple Chicken and Tiffany, thank you for stepping aside and allowing me to accept Henny Penny into our lives.

For those that don't know - it started in Raising Baby Chicks - (sorry don't know how to link it) under Help Neighbor's chicken escaped & is in his Yard by TheMost.

    My first rescue chicken!

I'll post pics later when she settles down. And, yes, Speckledhen she will be in a temp coop I built behind my shed in a secluded area about 50+ feet from the others til it's time for her to join the others. Hope that's good.

    YAY!

I'm thrilled Henny is there and I know she is gonna have a GREAT home.

Thanks for the mention but, like you, I just wanted to see her get a good home.
Keep us all posted on her progress and post some pics when you get her with your
    flock.

Here's the link to the original post. Credit is due to TheMost, while not a chicken owner
an animal lover that went out of their way to save this bird. Nice Job!!

    LUNA - Thats wonderful news.
I am so happy for her and you.

This has been the best story I am so proud of that young woman to take time out to help that poor bird.
I am not surprised about all the help from this board. What a great group of people. I am just glad she found BYC.
